She attended the local Calabar college named after Cornelius Connely.

After graduation, she proceeded to University of Uyo in her home state. There, she received Theatre Arts diploma and went into further education until she received a degree in the English Language at the same university. She never expected ending up as an actress or having acting career but she did and found herself in the spotlight.

The real success came with “World Apart”, after which she appeared in more than 150 movies. Ini’s father was not in support of his daughter’s choice at first. Becoming an actress meant leaving home and living instrange places, among strange people who could take advantage of Ini’s  innocence and trustfulness.

Their wedding was first celebrated and officially registered in Nigeria and in several months, in February 2009, repeated in Texas where the husband lived. Sadly, the marriage didn’t last more than six years. In 2014, everything collapsed and Ini stepped out of the unhappy marriage claiming that the reason for their divorce were certain “irreconcilable differences”, which the couple could not overcome. Lots of rumors sprung up about Ini unfaithfulness to the husband which she denied. She’s currently single.
